Project Information

This project was the complete refurbishment with 2 storey basement & loft conversion. The clients wanted a bespoke four bedroom house and for the design to take into account the clients collection of art and antiquities from around the world too. It was also important to Bring natural daylight deep into the plan as the project sat on a small plot.

Under the guide of Granit Architects and with contractors Strongbase construction, we utilised extensive use of glazing in light wells and double height spaces to create one light filled free flowing plan. Externally the rear of the house was rendered to unify the various old and new elements of the house. At second floor level, we created a master en-suite and reconfigured the layout to create 2 further bedrooms, a family bathroom, then new access to an extended loft.
