Project Information

This project was a feasibility study to show the potential development of a site in Barton Hill area of Bristol, BS5. Barton Hill Nursery and Infants school was built in 1910 on the site of a seventeenth century mansion known as Tilly’s Court Farm. The house was

known locally as, ‘Queen Annes House’, and was the County seat of Sir Thomas Day, a former Lord Mayor of Bristol. In the summer of 2007 the children and staff relocated to the nearby newly built school. Following this study it was proposed that the dilapidated building had great potential for  sensitive development.
